King Theoden

Theoden Concept Art King Theoden was the 17th King of Rohan in the house of Eorl. The King had been manipulated by Grima Wormtongue (who was working at the behest of Saruman the White) when he was first introduced in 'the Two Towers'. Later he realizes his manipulation and becomes a staunch ally of the forces of Gondor and them in battle.

The figure was to be designed with hair as actual hair pieces that would be glued on. The face was to be designed without the lines of care (the Battle pose), with the lines added in through paint operations. His cape would be cloth and the inner garments would need to be designed as plastic.

Liam Sharp developed the initial concept art while the final control art was done by Art Asylum. The initial concept art is shown below while there are four thumbnails that follow which link to larger images of the final control art for the figure. All four thumbnails link to the same page with larger images of all four images.
