WAVE 22: Spider Power 2 Spider Power Series 2, was released in Spring 1999. Like Spider Power Series 1, another Spider-Man artist's style was used as a basis of a figure's sculpt. This time, popular Spider-Man artist, John Romita Jr., was used as inspiration. Spider-Sense Peter Parker reissues another figure from the cancelled Street Warriors line. For those confused by the appearance, the figure shows Pete in a classic "half-Spidey" face as the readers of the comic were reminded of his alter-ego butting into his civilian life. Two VERY welcome additions were also in this line: a much-needed resculpted of Dr. Octopus, and at long last J. Jonah Jameson. Technically, JJJ was released before - in the Monster Mahem set as a repaint with baggy cloth clothes. As one of the most important non-super powered characters in the Spider-Man Universe, JJJ well deserved this figure - and ToyBiz went the distance with nice accessories and a fabulous sculpt. J.
