Year of release: 1992
Figure Number: 4935
Accessories: None (gun was attached to hand)
Action Feature: Quick Draw Action
Comments: This figure featured a transparent plastic right forearm and thigh. Underneath the plastic you can see the "cybernetics" (created by a sticker presumably). This has continually been one of the most sought after figures from the second year of X-Men figures releases.
One notable variation exists for this figure. Forge is available with both a yellow and a brown colored holster on his right leg. There is some discrepancy regarding which variation is harder to find. Official sources from Marvel/Toy Biz report that the brown holster is the more difficult of the two. However, several price guides list the value of the yellow holster above that of the brown holster version. It is my opinion that the brown holster version is somewhat more difficult to find.
One other version of this figure exists. It is also part of the first FAO Schwarz X-Men Four Pack. The pack contained two figures from the X-Men line (Forge and Trevor Fitzroy) and two from the X-Force line (Cable I and Deadpool I). All figures were repainted exclusively for this set. The figures came in a small, unmarked cardboard box. The figures were not carded and came in plastic baggies. The Forge figure was identical in its sculpting to the original figure. However, the FAO figure had gray hair and the previously transparent parts were now silver and completely opaque.
