Three of the original Series I X-men figures were released in a modified "Talking" figure format. The three figures, Wolverine I, Cyclops I, and Magneto I, included a backpack accessory for the talking feature. These packs attached to the back of each figure and had three buttons, one for each prhase or sound. Four other Marvel figures were also released in this format (Spiderman, Venom, Punisher and Hulk). Although Venom and Wolverine remain the most popular figures from this one-shot line, many of the figures can still be found on the shelves of discounters such as Toy Liquidators.

Cylcops:

The original accessory was not included although Cyclops did come with a gun not included with the original figure.

Wolverine:

Figure come with original sword accessory. The major difference is that the mask is not removable as it is on the original Series I X-men figure.

Magneto:

  Comes with only one piece of space junk accessory (original figure came with three). In addition, the cloth cape of the original figure was omitted to allow the backpack accessory to be attached to the figure. As with the Wolverine figure, the helmet was no longer removable.
