Wolverine Street Clothes - 7th Edition
Year of release: 1994
Figure Number: 49366
Accessories: None
Action Feature: Street Tough (Snap out Claws)
Comments: This Wolverine version reverts to the Wolverine I design in that the arms have no elbow articulation and the claws snap out via a small lever on the back of the arm. In addition, the figure incorporates the now legendary twist-waist action. Unfortunately, the illustration on the card back shows that the figure has its arms bent when in reality, the figures arms were dead-straight. When the twist-waist action was used, this figure looked like some mutant Frankenstein flailing about miserably.
The figure comes with no accessories. Despite the apparent lackluster appeal of this figure, it was made into a thematic two-pack with the Peter Parker figure from the Spiderman series. As with all the figures in this series (save for Rogue) this figure sat on the shelves and was eventually relegated to the clearance racks. Perhaps because it was a Wolverine variation, this figure eventually disappeared from the shelves (before its series-mates). However, it can still be occasionally found in retail outlets at clearance prices.
