Although technically not a repaint series, this is about as close as you could get. Three of the five figures used the bodies of cancelled Series 5 Iron Man figures (Wolverine, Beast and Professor X). Iceman used the same sculpt as the previous version of Iceman with a new head sculpt. Quicksilver was a new head on a repainted Spiderman body.

The only significant repaint was Quicksilver who was repainted in a gray and white costume (similar to recent costume changes and the outfit he was shown to wear during the Age of Apocalypse mini-series). It was a nice contrast to the classic blue costume shown above.

Professor X was the shortpack at one per case. Interesting, every card (even the repaints) had a typo on the card front. In the upper left hand corner, the series name is misspelled as "Muntant Armor." This was never corrected.
