Magneto is one very complex character. His first appearance in X-Men #1 as the leader of the 'Brotherhood of Evil Mutants' left little to the imagination in terms of his political leaning, but as the years have rolled by his attitude and the character has grown more and more complex and layered. His powers first manifested themselves in a concentration camp during WW2, and the trials of his early life seem to have colored his opinions on mankind. Since then he has changed from good to evil several times, even acting as headmaster to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters for a time.
Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles has commissioned a mini-bust of the self-styled 'Master of Magnetism' as part of their line of Ultimate Busts. The bust depicts magneto holding the flag to Xavier's with his other hand outstretched to use his power. The bust is atop an 'X' base and is 7" in height. Magneto is wearing a purple shirt with a red cape and grayish helmet (which isn't removable). This bust was sculpted by David Cortes and art was prepared for the box by Adam Kubert.
There is no articulation as this is a sculpture, and it lacks any magnetism whatsoever. The cape is glued onto the main figure so care should be used when handling the bust, especially in avoiding using the cape to support the statue, and it should be picked up by either the head or base. There are two versions of the bust, this standard one limited to a maximum run of 10,000 and a special version with scrapes and cuts (battle damaged) that is limited to 500.
