December 7, 1941, a day that would live in infamy as Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, thereby plunging the United States into World War II.

President Franklin Delano Roosevelt responded by uniting every single one of America's mystery men to defend America's shores from the evil Axis forces.

Thus the All-Star Squadron was born.

DC Direct, in conjunction with Emerald Sentinel Design, is pleased to announce the second in a series of All-Star Squadron action figures.

Wave 2 features members of the Freedom Fighters, a team, organized by Uncle Sam, which split off from the main body of the All-Star Squadron and based themselves out of Washington D.C.

Wave 2 includes the following characters:

BLACK CONDOR I
As an infant, Richard Grey, Jr. was raised by a mother condor after his parents were killed by Yakki tribesmen while on an expedition in Mongolia. As he grew, he discovered an ability to fly. Under the guise of Senator Thomas Wright, Grey seeks justice as the Black Condor.

Black Condor features 21 points of articulation.

DOLL MAN
Chemist Darrel Dane created a formula that would allow him to shrink down to six inches, yet retain his full strength. After saving his fiancee from an appalling blackmailer, Dane became the Doll Man.

Doll Man features 9 points of articulation.

FIREBRAND I
Bored by his playboy lifestyle, Rod Reilly sought adventure as the mystery man, Firebrand. While stationed at Pearl Harbor, Rod was injured, and his sister Danette assumed the identity of Firebrand. After a full recovery and after the murder of their father, Rod again returned to action.

Firebrand features 9 points of articulation.

THE HUMAN BOMB
Nazi agents tried to steal Roy Lincoln's secret formula for the powerful explosive, 27-QRX. In an attempt to thwart them, Roy swallowed the formula. As a result, Roy gained the ability to explode anything he touched with his hands. To control his powers, Roy created a special fibro-wax containment suit to control his powers. Thus, the Human Bomb was born.

The Human Bomb features 7 points of articulation and comes with a removable helmet and gloves.

MANHUNTER I and THOR
After graduating from the police academy, Dan Richards sought to exonerate his girlfriend's bother from a murder frame-up. Desperate, Richards agreed to use a canine companion named Thor and an extensive criminal database provided by the mysterious Grandmaster, leader of the equally mysterious Manhunters organization.

Manhunter features 9 points of articulation and comes with his pet sidekick, Thor.

MISS AMERICA
Reporter Joan Dale was kidnapped and used by the top-secret organization Project M as an experimental test subject. The comatose Dale had a vision where the Statue of Liberty bestowed her with with which to defend America. Awakening to discover her powers did indeed exist, Dale was inspired to use her newfound abilities as the costumed Miss America.

Miss America features 10 points of articulation and comes with a 48-Star American flag.

THE RAY I
Convinced that a sentient being of light threatened Earth, Dr. Dayzl lured the unsuspecting Happy Terrill aboard a high-altitude balloon. Dayzl then exposed Terrill to a radiant flare, giving Terrill control over light and the ability to communicate with the light entity. Soon afterwards, Terrill adopted the identity of the Ray.

The Ray features 9 points of articulation.

THE RED BEE
Assistant District attorney, Rick Raleigh suspected one "Boss" Storm of heading a corrupt political machine, but hard evidence eluded him. Raleigh decided to take matters into his own hands as the Red Bee.

The Red Bee comes with 11 points of articulation.
