Hot on the heels of the sure-to-be-a-hit Broadway show "The Vampire Lestat" by Bernie Taupin and Elton John, Anne Rice announces that she has awarded the master toy license to her best-selling 'Vampire Chronicles' books to NECA.
The initial offering from the veteran horror action figure masters will launch at retail in fall 2006 and will be based on the first book in the series - Interview with the Vampire. Wave one will consist of Lestat de Lioncourt, Louis de Pointe du Lac and the devilish vampire child Claudia.
The figures will be based on descriptions of the characters from Anne Rice' novels and not on the Hollywood movie, but will draw inspiration from the time period and from Anne Rice's input.
These new 6-7" action figures will feature limited articulation and will come with (not shown) detailed bases recreating scenes from the book.
