The DARK REIGN has begun... and Norman Osborne, EMMA FROST and the other members of the Cabal have begun remaking the world for their own ends; Osborne has even adopted the identity of the IRON PATRIOT, and gathered a team of Dark Avengers, including the new CAPTAIN MARVEL, to corrupt the image of superheroes. However, an underground team of new Avengers has emerged to oppose them, among them WOLVERINE and the new CAPTAIN AMERICA, who was once the protege' of the original. As this conflict deepens, a separate team of mighty Avengers has formed, with the U.S.AGENT in its ranks, to carry on the traditions of the original legendary team.
