Do you scour the Internet
and the print magazines for the latest news on your favorite toys? Do you
like to know even the smallest details about the major players in the toy
industry? Do you own stock in any of the major toy companies? If the answer
to any of these questions is "Yes," then this feature might be for you.
The information
you will find here has very little to do with the toys themselves and everything
to do with the companies (and the money) behind the toys. There is a wealth
of information out there just waiting to be found by the industrious web
surfer. We've simplified the process for you and provided links to some
of the major players. Of course, if you still don't find what you are looking
for, you can design you own searches from any of the sources listed here.
An interesting place
to begin your investigation of the toy industry is at the Toy
Source web page. This searchable database can help you find designers,
manufacturers, distributors and just about any other industry professional
or business type. This former Cool
Toy Site of the Week winner is a little off the beaten path, but a
very good source for information.

There
are numerous places to get the news from the wires and Yahoo
is one of the better ones. Get the latest from Reuters, PRWire, UPI, and
Businesswire all in this one location. Updated daily, you can get the scoop
on who's merging with whom, who's fighting, and who's tooting their own
horn. Very revealing stuff sometimes. Very dry and boring at other times.
As a special service
to our readers, we've compiled a bunch of preconfigured searches on some
of the top names in the toy-related industries. If your favorite isn't
listed, you can always click on one of the site icons above to do your
own customized search. Of course, if the company you are looking for isn't
publically held, then you might have a bit of difficulty finding much information
from the sites presented here. Use the information you find wisely. And
remember, no hostile takeovers before lunch!
