JAPAN'S ORESKABAND TO PERFORM AT WIZARD WORLD CHICAGO
The J-Pop Band Will Be Entertaining Fans On Friday, June 27th
Congers, NY (June 2, 2008) - The all-female band ORESKABAND will be bringing their energetic and infectious flair for ska music to Wizard World Chicago on June 27th. The band has released two albums, signed to Sony Music, and toured with the Vans Warped Tour... and they just graduated high school! Their stateside success can be partially attributed to their songs being included in two hugely popular Anime series, "Bleach" and "Naruto." Translated, the band's name literally means "we're a ska band" and they definitely live up to the declaration. The music, with its unrelenting bouncy tempo and melodies that instantly cling to your memory, will definitely leave you smiling and tapping your foot for days! Don't miss this opportunity to see ORESKABAND live and in concert on Friday night at 7 P.M. followed by a VIP event from 8-9 P.M.
"ORESKABAND is one of the hottest sensations in Japan and we're thrilled to have these very talented girls appear at Wizard World Chicago," said Summer Mullins, editor of Anime Insider magazine. "There's no language barrier when it comes to great music, so this is an event that every fan can enjoy."
"Attending and performing at Wizard World is an amazing and unique opportunity for us," said the band's trombone player, Leader. "We are so excited to be able to come to Chicago and see all of our fans! We know we are in good hands during our first full visit to America."
The band will also be on hand throughout the day at the show for special signings and meet and greet opportunities with fans. The Wizard World comic convention is coming to Chicago from June 26th to 29th. You can purchase your tickets for Wizard World Chicago at www.wizardworld.com.
