McFarlane Toys Unveils Plans For Shrek Line

McFarlane Toys has annouced its plans for next years toyline based on the Dreamworks cgi-animated film, Shrek.The movie, a fantasy comedy featuring the voices of Mike Myers, John Lithgow, Eddy Murphy and Cameron Diaz, is scheduled for a May 2001 release and McFarlane Toys has signed on as the Master Toy Licensee. Here's a taste of some of the products the company has planned to tie into the films release: - A traditional series of 6-inch figures, boxed individually, which includes Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, Dragon, Lord Farquaad and Shrek in armor.
- A series of 6-inch beanie figures, including Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, Dragon, Lord Farquaad and Gingerbread Man.
- A series of 3-inch figures sold in multipacks of three figures each. The list includes all the major and many minor characters in the film, including Shrek, Fiona, Dragon, Donkey, Lord Farquaad, Knight and many more.
- A series of larger-scale figures (10 to 14 inches) of Shrek and Donkey with sound.
- Plush figures of Shrek and Donkey.
- And several diorama-style playsets, including the Outhouse, Shrek's House, the Castle and the Dungeon.
