Palisades To Work On 12" Reservoir Dog Figures

Reservoir Dogs is a movie about a group of men recruited to rob a jewelry store, but something went wrong. The police showed up way too fast and some of the men died. Now, some of the thieves think there was a rat. Is there a rat in the group, and if so who? Or was the robbery just a bad idea? Reservoir Dogs was the first movie Quentin Tarantino directed. Starring Harvey Keitel, Michael Madson, Steve Buscemi, Tim Roth, and Quentin Tarantino. Working with Artisan Consumer Products, Palisades Marketing, LLC, a leading designer and manufacturer of licensed collectible properties announces that it will make 12-Inch Action Figures based on thecult classic Reservoir Dogs, distributed by Artisan Home Entertainment. "We are excited to have acquired the rights to Reservoir Dogs," Palisades President Michael Horn commented. "The property has a tremendous fan base and I think they will be pleased when they see the level of detail that a 12-Inch figure can deliver. The 12-Inch category is new for Palisades and we have taken every step to insure that the line is done right. Reservoir Dogs is the ideal property to launch the category for us." Artisan Entertainment will release a special 10th anniversary edition of Reservoir Dogs on DVD in the fourth quarter of 2001. Artisan plans an initial shipment of over 1 million units. "This powerful film continues to grip its viewers almost a decade after its release," said Ferrell McDonald, Vice President, Artisan Consumer Products. "We are pleased to be releasing new and varied Reservoir Dogs licensed products along with the special anniversary edition of the DVD, which will help new audiences discover the Reservoir Dogs experience while old fans will be able to extend their enjoyment of this unique film." Details on the line are still to be revealed. Initial figures will include: Mr. Blonde (Michael Madsen), Mr. Orange (Tim Roth), Mr. White (Harvey Keitel) and Mr. Pink (Steve Buscemi). All will be presented in cloth clothing, with high details, accessories, and collector packaging. The line is set for release in Spring 2001.
