March 2009 - Every other month, Hasbro will answer three questions about their GI Joe products. Below are the questions and answers for this month.
1. Since we got Matt Trakker from M.A.S.K. in G.I.Joe what about human characters from the Transformers universe? Spike, Sparkplug, Buster, or even Marissa Faireborn (future daughter of Flint and Lady Jay!). Even Transformers movie characters such as the members of Sector7 would make great Joe offshoot figures.
Answer: Thanks for the idea. There are no plans to take any characters from outside the GI Joe universe at this time.
2. Will there be any new product on retail shelves between now and the movie line release
since the previously known wave 14, and new comic packs have been reshuffled into internet
exclusive 7-packs?
Answer: Due to timing of the movie product, Hasbro decided that the best way to get these figures into the hands of our collectors was through the 7 packs. The Resolute Comics (Destro and Tunnel Rat) and Singles with Resolute Duke, Cobra Commander, and Trooper are likely the last of the classic waves. But there will be many new figures coming out for movie.
3. When will the non-movie 25th figures return?
Answer: We are not ready to make any announcements about any future classic line; sorry.
