Series Two LOTR Figures from Sideshow / WETA
|
More Lord of the Rings figures coming your way from Sideshow Toy / WETA. This second series of figures follow the quality and tradition of the first offering. Each figure is a detailed 1:6 scale hand cast in heavy weight polystone and hand painted to capture the likeness of the character. The display base has been etched with the map of Middle Earth and also includes the Lord of the Rings logo, the character's name and sculptor's signature. These are authentic replications of the film's central characters and each figure has been endorsed by the actor who portrayed the character in the film. Legolas Greenleaf An elf prince from the forest kingdom of Mirkwood, Legolas joined the Fellowship as a representative of his people, and vowed to protect Frodo in his quest, through the power of his mighty bow. Legolas's keen Elf senses and unerring marksmanship were to prove vital to the success of the quest on several occasions. His representative statue is 12" high. Moria Orc Swordsman A cruel and vile breed, the orcs of the Misty Mountains invaded the dwarf-realm of Moria. Having slaughtered the dwarves, their ruthless swordsmen pursued and attacked the Fellowship of the Ring through the Moria Mines. This figure is 9.5" high. Orc Pitmaster A foul, black-blooded, murderous race, Orcs were the servants of evil in Middle-earth. Deep in the pits below the fortress of Isengard, the Orc Pitmaster inspected and outfitted the newly bred Uruk-hai for his master Saruman, the wizard. He took pleasure in mistreating the Uruk-hai in their brief vunerable state before they grew too large to safely bully. Orc Warrior Deep in the ancient past, captured Elves were tortured and corrupted by evil into hideous, hunched forms. These foul, black-blooded creatures were driven to ruin and destroy all fair things for their cruel master, Sauron, the Dark Lord. In the Second Age of Middle-earth, Sauron sent great numbers of Orc Warriors against the Alliance of Elves and Men.
