Immerse in the Halo Universe With New Halo R/C Vehicles from NKOK
NKOK announces a new collection of Halo 3 Remote Control Vehicles to coincide with the launch of Halo 3: ODST
September 2009 - City of Industry, CA - NKOK proudly debuts a new line of authentic Halo® 3 Remote Control Vehicles which will hit retailers as Microsoft and Bungie launch Halo 3: ODST, the latest entry in the critically-acclaimed Halo series.
Including the M12 Warthog LRV, M274 Mongoose Ultra-Light ATV, and the AV-14 Hornet Airborne Assault Vehicle, the Halo R/C Vehicles from NKOK will put collectors and fans right alongside the Master Chief as they recreate the major battles that populate the Halo franchise.
The Warthog R/C car comes with a Master Chief and Blue Spartan figurine. The rear-mounted M41 Light Anti-Aircraft Gun turret is fully moveable and has a place to position one of the figurines. With a top speed of approx. 7 MPH, the Warthog is the fastest R/C vehicle in the Halo collection, perfect for recreating the action from those late night Team Capture the Flag (CTF) matches. It receives signals at 27 MHz and is powered by a total of six AA batteries; four for the Warthog itself, and two for the controller. The Warthog is now available at an MSRP of $24.99.
The M274 Mongoose is a faithful representation of the ATV used by the UNSC forces in Halo 3. Also included with the Mongoose is a Master Chief figurine. A top speed of approx. 6 MPH and receiving at 49 MHz will provide entertaining races with the Warthog. The Mongoose takes six batteries; four for the Mongoose itself and two for the remote control. It will be available in late September, in time for the release of Halo 3: ODST, at an MSRP of $24.99.
First seen in Halo 3, the AV-14 Attack VTOL Hornet is an indoor flying helicopter, lifted by a pair of gyroscopic propellers. It features stability and precision speed control. Operated by a Tri-band infrared control selector, the Hornet can be switched from A to B to C bands to fly with two other Hornets simultaneously. The remote control is powered by six AA batteries and the Hornet itself runs on a rechargeable Li-Poly battery. Available with the Mongoose in late September, the Hornet will be offered at an MSRP of $34.99.
The Halo R/C Vehicles will be available for purchase in the US exclusively at Toys R Us, GameStop, Walmart Canada, Blockbuster, and specialty retailers through Diamond Comic Distribution. They will also be available for purchase online at www.gamestop.com, www.toysrus.com and www.target.com.
