Board Game Company Steps Up to Aid Victims of Haiti Disaster
Mindlogic, Inc. To Donate 10% Of Its Profits On Every Board Game Sold in 2010
NEW YORK, Feb. 22, 2010 -- While much of the world spends its free time playing with toys and games, Mindlogic has decided to use its toys and games to raise much needed money to help fund the relief effort in Haiti. For each Consensus® board game that is sold, Mindlogic will donate 10% of its profits on the sale toward the relief effort in Haiti. This program will apply to all games manufactured in 2010.
"When I founded Mindlogic in 2007, my mission was to create a line of social board games that would bring families and friends closer together," said Marshall Chrein, CEO of Mindlogic, Inc. "Now, I have the incredible opportunity to accomplish that objective and, at the same time, bring hope to our brothers and sisters in another part of the world."
Mindlogic is currently in discussions with organizations such as the U.S. Fund for UNICEF which have been instrumental in raising substantial amounts of money for the relief effort in Haiti. "We are taking very special care to ensure that all proceeds are donated to reputable charities," said Chrein. "In addition, we are only considering charities which donate 100% of all money raised to this relief effort."
Consensus® (ages 12 and up) is a game about opinions. It is not a trivia game, nor is it a strategy game. It is a game which allows its participants to express themselves as individuals and/or as part of a group, all while learning about each other's passions and personal preferences.
Other games in the Consensus® series include The Junior Edition (ages 8 and up) and The Movie Edition (ages 17 and up). Soon to be released is The Music Edition (ages 17 and up). Each of the Consensus® board games currently retails for around $24.95 and can be found at specialty stores throughout the U.S.
