Matchbox Introduces Barrett-Jackson
|
Matchbox has teamed up with Barrett-Jackson (a top auction seller of classic cars) to create the Matchbox Barrett-Jackson Collection 2002, die-cast versions of the ultimate collectibles - classic cars. There will be two sizes: miniature-scale and traditional-scale models.
 Each car in the collection will come with "fun facts" about that car, including the auction selling price, odometer reading and transmission specs.
The cars in the Matchbox� Barrett-Jackson� Miniature-Scale Collection 2002 will retail for around $4.99 USD and should be in stores in February 2002. This collection includes the following cars:
- 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Hardtop
- 1956 Cadillac Eldorado
- 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
- 1967 Volkswagen Microbus
- 1968 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet
- 1971 Chevrolet� Camaro Z-28�
The cars in the Matchbox� Barrett-Jackson� Traditional-Scale Collection 2002 will retail for around $12 USD and should be in stores in June 2002. This collection includes the following cars:
- 1948 Tucker Torpedo
- 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
- 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible
- 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner
- 1970 Chevrolet� Chevelle? SS
- 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T
