Hasbro: #59 on Fortune's 'Best Companies to Work For' List

Hasbro Recognized as One of FORTUNE's 2011 'Best Companies to Work For'

As a newcomer to list, Hasbro ranks number 59

PAWTUCKET, R.I., January 20, 2011 -- Hasbro, Inc. has been named to this year's FORTUNE magazine's annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" list. This is the first time HASBRO has made the list and was selected as number 59.

"This honor puts the focus on our organization's greatest assets - our people, our culture, and our commitment to innovating in everything we do," said Hasbro President and CEO Brian Goldner. "FORTUNE's "100 Best" selection of Hasbro is a great honor and it is particularly gratifying to see and hear about the tremendous pride employees feel about working at Hasbro."

Hasbro has long been a leader in toys and games and its transformation into a branded play company has been attributed to the company's ability to innovate and re-invent, re-imagine and re-ignite its world-class portfolio of brands.

To select the 100 Best Companies to Work For, FORTUNE partners with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America. Three hundred eleven companies participated in this year's survey. Two-thirds of a company's score is based on the results of the Institute's Trust Index survey, which is sent to a random sample of employees from each company. The survey asks questions related to their attitudes about management's credibility, job satisfaction, and camaraderie. The other third of the scoring is based on the company's responses to the Institute's Culture Audit, which includes detailed questions about pay and benefit programs and a series of open-ended questions about hiring practices, internal communications, training, recognition programs and diversity efforts.

The full list and related stories appear in the Feb. 7 issue of FORTUNE, available on newsstands on Monday, Jan. 24, and now at www.Fortune.com/BestCompanies.
