The Toy Industry Association (TIA) holds the annual T.O.T.Y. (Toy Of The Year) Awards at the American International Toy Fair each February in New York. These awards consist of fourteen award categories voted on by TIA members as well as one category voted on by the general public.
Voting for the "People's Choice Toy Of The Year" Award is still open: if you are a US resident, you have until December 31, 2001, to cast your vote at: http://www.toy-tia.org/toty/index.html.
