More Incredible Toys From DC Direct

DC Direct, the merchandising division of DC Comics, continues to fulfil fans dreams with their product offerings. Jaws have barely been picked off the ground after DC revealed the Hawkman/Hawkgirl 2-pack recently and now, hot on the heels of that release, DC Direct has revealed the next assortment of incredible action figures.

First up, scheduled to arrive in stores on July 12th, are Kid Flash and Starfire from their days in the Teen Titans (during the classic Wolfman/Perez days). Kid Flash stands 5-3/4" tall, and has 9 points of articulation and comes with a snazzy logo base so you can pose him in a super-speed sprint!

Starfire comes in a 6-3/8" tall, 8 pts of articulation and light-up eyes and hair! Her hair fits into a base which allows the figure to be display as if flying.

Next comes a Deluxe 2 pack featuring America's Best Comics character Tom Strong, and his robot valet, Pnueman. This set is scheduled for a July 19th release. Tom comes complete with goggles, his trusty helicopter backpack (with manually-spinning blades), plus a pistol and knife that fit into his belt! Tom stands 6.2" tall, and features 7 points of articulation.

For those wondering who Tom Strongis and why he's in a DC action figure assortment, here's the skinny: Tom Strong is part of the America's Best Comics imprint of Wildstorm which is owned by DC Comics. Simple really. Ironically, America's Best Comics and Tom Strong creator, Alan Moore at one time vowed he would have nothing to do with DC Comics stemming from a disagreement during his tenure on Swamp Thing, and now his character is having a figure made by the company.
