January, 2002 - Moore Action Collectibles, Inc. (MAC) and Twentieth Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising (Fox L&M) are pleased to announce the second series of The X-Files action collectibles.
New to The X-Files family, Special Agent Monica Reyes, played by Annabeth Gish, has become quite a welcomed character by old and new fans of the show alike. Her fresh outlook on case subject matter gives a whole new perspective to the dynamics of the long-running show, now in its ninth season. Reyes has the intelligence, beauty, and intrigue that make her character appealing to both fans of the show, and collectors.
Referred to by many fans as "Ratboy", Alex Krycek, played by actor Nicholas Lea, made his first appearance in the season two episode, "Sleepless." After teaming up with Mulder to solve a sleeping disorder case, Krycek began to show his true allegiances by plotting with Cigarette-Smoking Man to get rid of Scully and Mulder. Since that time, he has made a name for himself as one of The X-Files big bads. As one of the most hated The X-Files characters, Krycek has evolved into a source of fascination for viewers. By contributing to the essential conspiracy element of The X-Files, fans recognize the desire and need for a character like Krycek.
First appearing in the season two episode "Colony", the shape-shifting, square-jawed alien now recognized as the Bounty Hunter was introduced to viewers. The sole purpose of the Bounty Hunter, portrayed by Brian Thompson, is to patrol the cloning operations and monitor the happenings of the Syndicate. This alien assassin is armed with superhuman strength and a designated, sharp object to dispose of his enemies. With one stab to the base of the neck, alien clones, like him, bleed green goo and dissipate into nonexistence.
At present, a release date has not been determined for Agent Reyes, Krycek, and the Bounty Hunter action figures. Further information will be released in the very near future.
