Two new figures from the super-robot anime GaoGaiGar will soon be on collector's shelves, and they are available through Diamond Comic Distributors.

GaoGaiGar was one of the most popular Super Robot shows in Japan during its decade-long run. It had gritty storylines, likable characters, and flamboyant mecha, appealing to the child-like nature of all its fans. With the show?s strong fan-base, and the amount of collectors of Super Robot action figures, it seems only natural that they have some cool collectibles to honor the show and boost their collections. These 6" tall figures were sculpted by Katsuhisa Yamaguchi, who also sculpted the Neon Genesis Evangelion EVA Figures and Virtual On Figures. The figures are highly detailed and feature multiple points of articulation for a wide variety of action poses! The Dividing Driver GaoGaiGar comes stocked with a dividing driver weapon and 5 variant hands, including a power-up fist and clasped hands. The "combined" robot Choryujin GaoGaiGar is packaged with a Freezing Rifle/crane, a Melting Rifle/ladder, an Eraserhead Weapon Pod, and a VOLFOGG Robot Figure. Scheduled to ship in April 2002, these are two figures that no collector or anime fan will want to be without.
