TIMONIUM, MD (January 24, 2002) - Diamond Select Toys has signed an agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising (Fox L&M) to create new products based on the award-winning film Edward Scissorhands. The three-year deal allows for the design and manufacturing of resin busts, statues, and snow globes featuring characters and scenes from Tim Burton's cult classic. The first product scheduled to be released is a bust of Edward sculpted by David Cort�s.

Diamond Select will be the first company to create resin products and snow globes for this 11-year old classic property. Collectible Edward Scissorhands merchandise has been manufactured in the past, but has been limited to action figures, Christmas ornaments, and T-shirts. This is a solid property that still maintains a loyal following, and has become an annual holiday viewing tradition in households nationwide," said Jason Whitney, Production Manager for Diamond Select.
