Classic Star Wars figures to stop

April 1, 2002 - Today Hasbrown has announced that they will stop making action figures from the three classic Star Wars films. When pressed on the issue, spokeperson Cleo Flour had this to say:

"We're done with those films because we're done. We've run out of worthwhile characters to do, and all that is left are things that are so obscure no one would want them. We realized we've gone too far and we're going to stop. Besides, we need to use those people to finish going through the Boonta Eve stands from Episode 1 and the various crowds from Episode 2."

RTM checked with sources close to the issue, and the straw that broke the camel's back was the five person team that was hired solely to check the various films on a frame by frame basis to find new characters that might have appeared in the film.

An anonymous member of this team had this to say "We were looking at every frame for anything resembling a character we could use. Shadows or film artifacts were also considered, but they rarely made it past prototyping. Now we've checked it all and we're done - mission accomplished! We can all go home with a job well done!"

RTM would like to thank all our sources and to wish you a happy April Fool's Day!
