LOS ANGELES, April 23 -- United Internet Technologies, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of United Leisure Corporation, a developer and marketer of interactive control technologies, today announced it has received a United States Patent #6,370,597.
The invention described within the patent application makes it possible to control animatronic devices over the Internet, PDA's, wireless cell networks and other types of digital networks. The patent focuses on processing within the server and client.
Brian Shuster, one of the inventors and president of UIT says "The technology that we spent four years developing provides us with the opportunity to embed the smart in smart devices and from this core technology we can develop a new class of Internet enabled devices. We are focusing our efforts on forming strategic relationships with leading Internet portals and with consumer electronics manufacturers to create a range of Internet enabled devices for the home."
Mr. Shuster further says, "The first application of our technology will be Internet/Networked smart toys. The toys will have the ability for the user to chat with other users toys all over the world in real time. The user can control the toy via the Internet, cell phones and PDA or any other digital delivery network. We have secured the rights from Warner Bros. to create animatronic devices based on certain of the Looney Tunes characters. The first characters intended for the market will be the Looney Tunes Bugs Bunny Character and Daffy Duck. The plan is to market these toys in the $19 - $25 retail range."
