Stan Winston at Golden Apple

HOLLYWOOD, CA. (May 7, 2002)� On Saturday, May 11, from 3-5 p.m., legendary special effects visionary Stan Winston (Terminator 2, Aliens, Jurassic Park) will autograph copies of his first comic book series, Mutant Earth, at Golden Apple MegaStore (7711 Melrose Ave.) in Hollywood. All attendees will have a chance to win a limited-edition action figure of the central character Trakk�one of a series of six figures that Stan Winston Studio is launching this month�while supplies last. Members of Stan Winston Studio's creative team, surprise guests and examples of some of Winston's best-loved creatures will also be on hand.
What: MUTANT EARTH
A gripping four comic-book series set in 2099 A.D.�five years after The Great Alien Invasion, when the desolate Earth is a battleground between the surviving humans, led by heroic guardian warrior Trakk, and hordes of hideous mutants and invading aliens.
Who: STAN WINSTON
Over the past 30 years, Stan Winston has contributed his unique special-effects magic to more than 70 films, including the three Jurassic Park movies, Aliens, Terminator 2, Predator, A.I. Artificial Intelligence and the forthcoming T3: Rise of the Machines. Winston's genius has been rewarded with scores of professional honors, including four Academy Awards and 10 other Oscar nominations. Now Stan brings his remarkable talents for character creation and storytelling to his first comic book series.
