German WWI Trench Raider Figure

trench raider action figure

June 15, 2002 - Sideshow Toy has unveiled a new addition to their Bayonets & Barbed Wire series of 12-inch action figures based on World War One.

The new figure is the German Stosstruppen Markmann, IR. 186 - the Trench Raider. These soldiers had the rather nasty job of making assaults across the "no man's land" and into enemy trenches. Their armored breastplates helped protect them on their journey into the trenches, and then were quickly removed and dumped so that they could move more easily within the trenches and attack with clubs, knives, pistols, and grenades

Sideshow's Trench Raider action figure comes with the following gear:

  • Improved 1916 Stahlhelm with chin strap lugs and hook hardware
  • Artillery luger with removable drum magazines, and removable shoulder stock
  • Drum magazine carrier and spare drum magazine
  • Trench knife and scabbard
  • 4 stick grenades
  • Improvised trench mace
  • Wire cutters
  • Waist belt with improved Prussian belt buckle
  • Bread bag
  • 1915 transition tunic
  • Stonegrau trousers
  • Improved material puttee's
  • Ankle boots
  • Gas mask bag and 1915 gummimask

The Trench Raider will ship in November/December 2002 with a price of around $40 USD.
