June 17, 2002 - Sarasota, FL - Marz Distribution, L.C., which provides nationwide and limited global distribution services to the toy, hobby and specialty markets, has announced the opening of their West Coast Distribution Center. "We are expanding our operations in order to benefit all of our customers," says Marz Distribution President, Brian Brown. "With our new distribution center, our West Coast and Pacific Rim customers will have the same advantages that our East Coast and European customers have been enjoying."
The new facility, located just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada, will double Marz Distribution's warehouse capacity. "With two centers of distribution on the U.S. mainland," Mr. Brown states, "shipping time will be dramatically reduced, which is all-important in this time-to-market sensitive industry."
Marz Distribution brings together industry experts with more than 50 years combined experience and has direct distribution relationships with most of the major toy and related merchandise manufacturers (totaling more than 75). The company is proudly celebrating its first anniversary and, in such a short time, has developed into the premier distributor of toys and collectibles. Recently, Marz has even been honored with its own toy exclusives, including Mezco Toyz's Mr. Brown figure and Living Dead Dolls Stationery Set, McFarlane's shared exclusive 12" Tortured Souls Venal figure, and the shared exclusive Fortress Maximus from Hasbro.
The West Coast Distribution Center is currently up and running. "It is the next step in a very successful first year for Marz Distribution," says Mr. Brown.
