NEW YORK, June, 2002 -- COMEDY CENTRAL has selected Brand Central LLC, a full service licensing agency, to develop strategic licensing alliances on behalf of the network. Through this agreement, Brand Central will focus on COMEDY CENTRAL properties such as "The Man Show," "Crank Yankers," "Beat the Geeks," "Prime Time Glick," "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart," "Let's Bowl," "Insomniac With Dave Attell," and the COMEDY CENTRAL brand. The merchandise will be targeted to COMEDY CENTRAL's 18-49 year-old demographic.

COMEDY CENTRAL's new series, "Crank Yankers," a perverse phony phone call show in which the calls become the basis for a twisted town of puppets, promises to be the network's next breakout hit. Licensees have already jumped on board to kick off the program at retail this summer, including categories such as t-shirts, bobble heads, posters, puppets, plush, key chains and much more. "In addition to focusing on 'Crank Yankers'," adds Misher, "we are also aggressively pursuing licensing opportunities for the rest of the COMEDY CENTRAL line up."
