DULLES, Va. -- Aug. 13, 2002 -- United Internet Technologies (UIT), a wholly owned subsidiary of United Leisure Corporation, announced today that its wireless chat and instant messaging-enabled I-C-IT "Brilliant Toys" featuring Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes characters Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck will be available exclusively on AOL Shopping, America Online's multi-brand e-commerce destination, starting in late September of 2002.
UIT's patented technology transforms online chat and instant messaging from a static process to a truly dynamic entertainment experience. The wireless I-C-IT toys are programmed to talk and move animatronically in real time when sending and receiving pre-programmed instant messages through AOL and AOL Instant Messenger (AIM).
"We're excited about the opportunity to bring these cutting-edge, chat-enabled toys to AOL's 35 million members and millions of other consumers who visit AOL's shopping destinations," said Brian Shuster, CEO of UIT. "AOL has helped transform the way millions of people communicate through instant messaging and chat, and now we're able to help take it a step further. The Looney Tunes Instant Messaging Buddies will help engage children in a whole new level of online interactivity."
UIT has developed and received a notice of allowance on its patent for Intelligent Control Interactive Technology (I-C-IT), a hardware and software platform for networking devices through various digital delivery systems such as the Internet, cable, broadcast and wireless networks. Products empowered with I-C-IT technology become "smart products" and can communicate with and be controlled by the user or through interactions with other I-C-IT enabled devices. I-C-IT technology can be customized and embedded into almost any electronic product, such as home and business appliances, toys, and medical monitoring devices. I-C-IT is marketed under the slogan "the smart in smart devices"(TM).
