REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Oct. 28, 2002 -- In preparation for holiday travel, LEGO® Interactive and Electronic Arts announce the North American release of two adventure titles for the Game Boy® Advance. Based on two successful LEGO toy ranges, BIONICLE(TM): Matoran Adventures has shipped and GALIDOR(TM): Defenders of the Outer Dimension will be released on October 29. Both titles offer perfect travel time entertainment for kids of all ages.
About GALIDOR: Defenders of the Outer Dimension
Players take on the role of hero Nick Bluetooth -- straight out of the hit ABC Family TV series -- and find themselves in an Outer Dimension on an action-packed quest to free friends who have fallen into the clutches of the evil tyrant, Gorm. With the ultimate goal of finding the portal to GALIDOR and ridding the Outer Dimension of its wicked ruler, Nick encounters many challenges and menacing foes along the way. Armed with the awe-inspiring ability to "glinch" or absorb the attributes of enemies he defeats, Nick can fly, jump, grapple and navigate through his adventures. GALIDOR: Defenders of the Outer Dimension has both 2D and 3D environments to explore across 21 levels.
About BIONICLE: Matoran Adventures
The game is set around the elementally themed regions of the island of Mata Nui - a tropical paradise, with rugged mountains, great lakes and mighty volcanoes. Players of this fun hand-held platform game will guide Matoran and Turaga characters (the brave villagers and elders of Mata Nui) on an incredible adventure facing many obstacles and enemies and finally defeating the Bahrag, the great enemy of Mata Nui and its inhabitants. In the game, players must avoid and overcome the mighty Rahi beasts and the ravenous bug-like Bohrok, as they solve puzzles, avoid traps, open doors and activate switches to reveal hidden chambers in each of the environments. BIONICLE: Matoran Adventures is based on the most successful toy range in LEGO company history, BIONICLE.
BIONICLE: Matoran Adventures was developed by UK-based Argonaut Games plc and GALIDOR: Defenders of the Outer Dimension was developed by Tiertex Design Studios, also based in the UK. Each game is rated "E" for Everyone and carries an MSRP price of $29.95.
