November 14, 2002 - RTM's Marvelous Mike Fichera recently talked to Factory X and brought back the following news and updates...
Captain America's Shield is sold out. Although shipping was delayed in the dock lockout on the West Coast, Factory X has found an alternate route to get a fair number of the replicas on their way. Expect to see many deliveries within the next month.
Nick Fury's Gun is on schedule for the end of November.
The Iron Man Helmet is due out in Spring 2003, with the Doctor Doom Mask to follow in the Summer of 2003.
The Spider-Man webshooter replicas are just the first in a new wave of Marvel replicas.
The Spider-Man movie busts are sold out. Half of the 3,000 piece production run have been delivered, with the remaining half to ship in mid-November. The same goes for the Green Goblin mini-busts. The Green Goblin movie statue production run has been lowered from 2,500 to about 1,500.
Upcoming licenses include: Underworld (a film from Sony) and Timeline (a Michael Crichton film from Paramount).
Factory X will be creating snowglobes, statues, replica weapon props, and lunch boxes for Jeepers Creepers I and II.
Other lunch boxes ("gear boxes"), which are due out in the first quarter of 2003 are: Blade I and II, the Mummy Returns, and a retro Bozo (licensed from Larry Harmon).
