October 21, 2002 (Irvine, CA) - The Holidays are right around the corner. With the seasonal craze also comes those few new gift items that actually have the staying power to fight the seasonal fad. There is that one new product that appeals to all audiences, kids and adults alike and this year that item is - The No Rules SnowJack scooter for the snow.
The SnowJack is the brainchild of designer Eric McClure. McClure, who is responsible for all aspects of the SnowJack first had the vision of the SnowJack when he heard a young girl mention "Wouldn't it be cool if snowboards had handlebars?" After many nights perfecting the design and many days getting bruised on the mountain, the SnowJack was created. The actual design and production from start to finish took about one year. There are two patent-pending defining differences for the SnowJack, one is the angle at which the SnowJack steers and the other is the brake system that McClure installed. "When I finally got the SnowJack to work, the next question was 'How do I make it stop'." ponders McClure. "So, I designed a 'snow break' and it works! I sent the SnowJack to instructors at various snowboarding camps around the country and Canada. It got great reviews. One of the top snowboarders in the country had only two words-'Home Run'.
Recommended for ages seven and older, the SnowJack can be used by almost anyone at any skill level. And, the advantage of having a SnowJack is that it can be ridden to school, to the bus, across town, on the mountain, or anywhere there is snow. It's the different kind of snow fun that doesn't compete with snowboarding or skiing. The SnowJack is safe and easy to ride. Finally there is something that boys, girls, moms and dads can do together that alleviates the long learning process often associated with winter sports.
Eric McClure is a Renaissance man in a true sense of the word. Not only an avid snow boarder and the brains behind SnowJack, he is also a songwriter and record producer, as well as president of Team RADD and RADD Kids (Recording Artists, Athletes, and Actors Against Drunk Driving) youth divisions. This year marks the fifth year for the Team RADD Celebrity Snow Festival at Mountain High Resort in California to be held on December 28, 2002. The music and fun filled day benefits RADD, a non-profit 501-c3 organization and this year will be topped off with a SnowJack celebrity race.
Offered in blue, red, yellow, and green, McClure chose to utilize No Rules' edgy name and cool graphics to help promote the SnowJack snow scooter via a well-known internationally branded company. One size fits all and each SnowJack comes with adjustable handlebars to accommodate a variety of heights. The SnowJack is available at national retail and toy stores as well as specialty sporting goods stores. Suggested retail price is $99.00, the SnowJack is in stores now.
