JAKKS Pacific Inc.today announced that it will present a greatly expanded array of products at the New York Toy Fair, the high point of the industry's mid-winter series of events, opening Feb. 11, 2000. The Company will have approximately 1,500 SKUs in its year 2000 product line up, more than twice the number of SKUs than in the prior year, reflecting substantial increases in the size and diversity of its product lines. The Company is introducing a wide range of new products in its BXS Bike Extreme Sports and its new MXS Motorcross Extreme Sports product lines, its Flying Colors activity and play sets and its foam toy lines, as well as in its flagship line of World Wrestling Federation action figures and accessories. ``After the excellent receptions our products enjoyed at the Hong Kong and Dallas Toy Fairs, we are really looking forward to the opportunity to present our year 2000 product lines to the industry in New York,'' said Stephen Berman, the Company's President and Chief Operating Officer. ``We have added a large number of new products and designs, many with innovative features and new themes under our increasingly popular brands. Even in this highly competitive environment, where a number of other toy companies have experienced slowing sales or profits, we have shown tremendous growth from each Toy Fair to the next. We have done this by diversifying and improving our product lines, anticipating our customers' needs and executing our efficient low-cost operating strategy.'' Jack Friedman, the Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, added: ``Our exciting and much-expanded product offering this year reflects our emergence into the top tier of American toy companies. We have been very pleased, not only with the success of our World Wrestling Federation branded products, but also with the very positive market acceptance and growth of our other product lines. After years of rapid growth, the Company is poised to continue its expansion strategy through organic growth and opportunistic acquisitions.''
