New DC Direct Figures Announced

The next wave of DC Direct's Action Figure line will be appearing in Previews Vol. X. #3. All figures will be made to order and arrive in stores in September. These figures include the Shazam! Deluxe Action Figure Set, and the "Amazing Androids" series � the first-ever action figures of the DC Universe's raddest robotic inhabitants, Hourman, Amazo, and Tomorrow Woman.

Shazam! Deluxe Action Figure Set (in stores September 13)

An incredible 2-pack presents the Original Captain Marvel and his alter-ego,Billy Batson! With one magic word, newsboy Billy Batson becomes the World's Mightiest Mortal, and now the duo can be yours. Holy Moley! The set includesa Captain Marvel figure that stands 6.25" tall with a soft PVC cape. Cap features nine points of articulation (neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees). Put him on the enclosed transformation stand (which features removable cards that create dioramas of the Cave of Eternity and radio station WHIZ). A thunderclap sound effect from the built-in sound chip rumbles as he switches places with the 4.375" tall Billy Batson, who comes with a bundle of newspapers and a free-standing WHIZ microphone and features seven points of articulation (neck, shoulders, elbows, and hips). Billy andCap will be packaged in a lightning-striking collector's box.

Amazo Action Figure (in stores September 20)

With the powers of the JLA at his disposal, he's one of the deadliest super-villains in the DC Universe. Now bring Amazo home as one of three figures (all offered this month) based on DC's greatest mechanized characters! Towering over his enemies at 6.625" tall, Amazo has nine points of articulation (neck, shoulders, hips, elbows, and knees) and wears a GreenLantern power ring on his right hand and has a copy of Wonder Woman's magic lasso that he can hold or store on his left hip. Packaged in a 4-color blister pack. No variants are being offered.

Hourman Action Figure (in stores September 20)

The JSA's trippiest time-shifter stands 6.125" tall with nine points of articulation (neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees). Plus, his chest emblem can be wound up to count down the time remaining in the hero's "Hour of Power" (clock duration is not a full hour). Packaged in a 4-color blisterpack. No variants are being offered.

Tomorrow Woman Action Figure (in stores September 20)

Built to destroy the JLA, Tomorrow Woman made the ultimate sacrifice to save the team. Now the synthetic super-woman lives once more in a 5.75"-tallaction figure featuring seven points of articulation (including neck, shoulders, hips, and elbows) and wearing a costume that includes a clothskirt and soft vinyl cape. Packaged in a 4-color blister pack. No variants are being offered.
