Play Mind's Titanium Body Rockers

March 20, 2003 - Play Mind Toys has taken a giant step by doing something that most other toy or collectible companies are leery of attempting. A majority of the existing toy manufacturers got their start by securing a popular license that thrust them into the toy industry limelight. Play Mind, however, had a vision of its own, and decided to boldly take a chance at creating and producing it's own, unique line of figures. First on the agenda is the Titanium line of Body Rockers. Composed partly of die-cast, with 32 working joints, the Body Rockers are a group of figures based on the popular urban dance style we refer to as breakdancing. Each of the 4 figures included in this line has, not only their own unique look, but characteristics and background, as well.
Freeze was born and raised in the "Boogie Down" Bronx, and was breaking before he could walk. He grew up watching the world's first breakers battle in the parks, and blow up block parties. Always the best in the schoolyard, Freeze has only become better with age. Now, as the Body Rocker's style master general, he is constantly coming up with the illest and most innovative breakin' moves for the crew.
Flare grew up in the east village of Manhattan and was exposed to Hip Hop at a young age. After meeting Freeze in high school, the two became best friends. This friendship layed the foundation for the Body Rockers crew. Being very proud of his heritage, Flare wears his grandfather's wrestling mask whenever breaking. The slick looking mask also helps him achieve the fastest head spin in all of New York�don't tell the competition!
Appearing one day at the World's Fair site in Queens, UFO remembers little about his life prior to that day. Taken into government custody, he learned about Hip Hop from a young guard that befriended him. Right away he seemed to be supernaturally skilled at breakdancin'. Once escaping from the compound, UFO traveled to Times Square. There he met the rest of the Body Rockers. After seeing his skills, they put him down with the crew.
Having moved to Brooklyn for college, Uprock, is the newest member of the Body Rockers crew. You won't see his face on a rookie card, though. Uprock is a MVP, and has been around the block. In a short time he quickly became the crew's all star. With his blazing footwork, he has layed some of the best to rest.
Now that the characters behind each of the Body Rockers names have been revealed, it is up to you to decide how the story ends. With endless possibilities and storylines yet to embark upon, imagination is the key that makes these 6-inch figures so enjoyable.
The production of Play Mind Toy's Titanium line of Body Rockers is well underway, with shipping scheduled for sometime in June. Updated information concerning this line will be released as it develops.
