WizKids Dominates Origins Noms

April 8, 2003 (SEATTLE) - The Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts & Design has released their Origins Awards nominees for 2003, and collectable miniatures games (CMGs) dominate this year's ballot. WizKids, LLC, the company that invented the category, received 14 nominations in 10 game and game-related fiction categories, including three of five nominations for the highly coveted Game of the Year award.

"We're completely thrilled," said Jordan Weisman, founder of Wizkids, LLC. "These nominations validate all the hard work we've done to make the most collectable, most playable games on the planet. I'm extremely proud of everyone at WizKids."

Voting for the awards is open to the public as well as members of the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts & Design. Ballots can be cast at the Academy's website at www.aagad.org. "We hope everyone will vote for WizKids," Weisman added.

The company has received Origins Awards in the past, taking Best Science Fiction Fantasy Miniature and Best Vehicular Miniature awards in 2001 and the Origins Vanguard Award in 2000.
