May 5, 2003 - Gentle Giant Studios, Inc. will be setting up booths at San Diego Comic-Con and WizardWorld Chicago this summer to meet with consumers and promote the Star Wars, Matrix, Terminator 3, and Red Star properties. For sale will be a variety of its mini busts, including a Summer Convention Exclusive Blue Clone Trooper. The Blue Clone Trooper represents a Lieutenant in the Clone Trooper army, and the mini bust represents an opportunity for Star Wars fans and collectors to complete their Clone Trooper armies that already include the Trooper, Commander, and Captain offered in wider release and in stores this June. The Blue Clone Trooper mini bust will vary from the Deluxe Line in that it will not be offered with interchangeable body parts, but it will have a lower SRP to reflect this change. Also, the Summer Show Exclusive will be limited to only 1000 pieces made and will only be available at these two shows.

For those of you who don't know, Gentle Giant Studios scans actors, props, and sets to achieve 100% realism in its products. In the case of the Clone Trooper, 3-dimensional products were created from the digital files that made up the clone troopers themselves in Attack of the Clones.

Attendees at Comic Con in San Diego will also have the opportunity to "Get Cloned" by the folks at Gentle Giant Studios. One lucky edition number from all Blue Clone Trooper mini busts sold at the show will be drawn at random on the final day of the show, and that owner will be scanned and "cloned," receiving a Clone Trooper mini bust with his or her head atop the standard body.
