WWII British Pacific Theater

world war ii action figure

May 7, 2003. Grenade launcher - check.

Bayonet - check.

Silverware - silverware?

Yes even a knife, fork and spoon were packed as necessary gear when the British confronted the Japanese in the Pacific Theater. Now bbi has replicated every detail of a WWII British soldier in 1:6 scale and proudly counts "Sergeant Harry Sinclair" as part of its Elite Force WWII collection. This figure is buttoned up - literally - with ten scale-sized buttons carefully sewn to the uniform. Collectors, take note of the grenade launcher with real cushioned shoulder pad. This figure is a "must" for action figure collectors as well as for those with a passion for WWII collectibles and memorabilia.

The British Gain Control of Burma

During the 1940's, Japanese forces expanded their influence throughout the Pacific and confronted British Forces. The British offensive in Burma began in 1944 with armored maneuvers, deception and air power that ultimately pushed the Japanese back to the capital city of Rangoon. The surviving Japanese forces retreated into Thailand and Rangoon fell into British hands on May 3, 1945.
