SEATTLE -- May 22, 2003 -- Jones Soda Co. (the "Company" or "Jones Soda"), today announced that it has signed an agreement with Mattel, Inc. to create an exclusive promotional item that will include the Jones Soda and Hot Wheels(R) brands.
Both Mattel, Inc. and Jones Soda Co. will together create a specially designed promotional package which will include a limited edition Hot Wheels(R) Jones Soda Orange R.V. as well as Hot Wheels(TM)-themed Jones Soda. Jones Soda Co. and Mattel's Hot Wheels(R) will be producing a limited edition combo pack in honor of the 35th anniversary of Hot Wheels(R) cars, and the end of an era for the iconic Jones Soda Orange R.V. The real Jones Soda Orange R.V. was retired in 2002 and turned into the world's first mobile skate ramp in early 2003. This combination pack will only be available for sale on the Jones Soda website at www.jonessodastore.com in the summer of 2003.
