Sideshow Adds Two Civil War Figures
|
July 4, 2003 - Sideshow Collectibles has added two new 12-inch action figures to their Brotherhood of Arms series, based on the American Civil War: The CS Infantry Officer is a limited edition of 2,000, and has a suggested retail price of $45 USD.
Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain is a limited edition of 4,000, and has a suggested retail price of $40 USD. The Colonel Chamberlain action figure is dressed as the Colonel was on July 2, 1863 at Gettysburg, when he ordered his men (the 20th Maine Infantry) to fix bayonets and make one of the most memorable bayonet charges of the Civil War. Colonel Chamberlain is also remembered for his gentlemen's gesture at the Appomattox Courthouse: when Confederate General Gordon was marching his troops to surrender, Chamberlain brought his troops to attention in a show of respect.
Both action figures were sculpted by Mat Falls, and will be shipping in November/ December 2003.
