July 14, 2003 - DALLAS, TEXAS: Graydon Gould, fondly remembered by Gerry Anderson fans as the voice of SUPERCAR's Mike Mercury, will be making a rare American appearance as the guest of Misc!MAYHEM and A&E Home Video at this year's Comic-Con International 2003. The Comic-Con runs from July 17 -20 at the San Diego Convention Center.

"I'm very excited about Graydon's appearance at the show," enthused Kez Wilson, Misc!MAYHEM's publisher. "I met Mr. Gould for the first time in England at Fanderson's "Stand By For Action" show last year. I didn't think anything could be better than publishing new SUPERCAR adventures, but meeting Mike Mercury face to face was a real pleasure."

Gould, born in 1937, went to Hollywood after his stint on SUPERCAR to further his acting career. His credits include an appearance on TV's "Matlock" and the role of the Public Official in "Mission: Impossible" (1996). His most recent big-screen role was that of Dana's dad from the film "Deja Vu" (1998) which starred Vanessa Redgrave.

As a convention exclusive, Gould will be signing and numbering a very limited amount of Johnny Lightning replica black-and-white Supercars, licensed and produced through Misc!MAYHEM. Although full color versions of this car will be available both before and after the convention, the limited "Signature Series" will only be available in San Diego. For information on ordering, go to www.miscmayhemprods.com

Misc!MAYHEM, a Dallas-based publishing firm, has acquired the rights to several Gerry Anderson properties, including SUPERCAR. A #0 issue of that title was distributed in April, 2003. Future projects include comic book versions of such fan favorites as UFO, FIREBALL XL-5 and CAPTAIN SCARLET.

A&E Home Video have issued the American releases of Anderson's programs on DVD and video. A&E has generously provided a number of Gerry Anderson DVD sets to be given away during the 2003 Comic-Con International, including SUPERCAR, FIREBALL XL5, STINGRAY, CAPTAIN SCARLET and a SPACE: 1999 Megaset. Entry forms for the A&E Giveaway drawings will be available at the Misc!MAYHEM/A&E Home Video booth (#434)

All Misc!MAYHEM titles are available through Diamond Distributing and can be purchased through local retailers.

Note: Carlton International Media, part of the Carlton Communications group, is a rights owner and rights distributor for a range of broadcasters and independent producers, and is one of the largest rights distributors in Europe. The company owns ITC library, which includes Gerry Anderson's Supermarionation Catalogue of programs.
