July 2003 - At the recent San Diego Comic-Con, on of the new products unveiled by Sideshow Collectibles was a bronze statue of Gandalf the Grey, as depicted in the Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring. This Gandalf statue is a limited edition of 36 (with only four artist proof pieces), and will be available only through Sideshow's web site.

The statue is over 24 inches tall, and is mounted on a solid marble base which adds another three inches to the height of the piece. Each statue is cast using the lost wax process, with a patina on Gandalf's cloak.

Each piece is engraved with the signature of the sculptor (Gary Hunt) and the edition number of the individual piece.
