Artists: eigoMANGA Needs You

November 2003 - eigoMANGA is an American Manga publisher that is publishing a new American manga anthology series called RUMBLE PAK shipping to stores in February 2004.

RUMBLE PAK was originally set published 48 pages of original comics for $4.95 (US); the company is now excited to announce the that comic book series will double each issue starting with issue one to 98 pages and still stay the same prices of $4.95.

The decision has been made after the Diamond Previews December solicitation. "We're strongly feel that we need to platform as many new and talented American artists as possible," claims Austin Osueke, publisher for RUMBLE PAK. "Putting the US on the map for creating a new generation of manga stories and characters are out top priority."

With the announcement of creating "Giant-sized" comics, RUMBLE PAK editors are now seeking out new American comic artists as well as artists from all over the world. eigoManga's CEO Austin Osueke was excited about working with international artists, "Most Manga companies are located in Japan, and they accept artwork by mainly Japanese artists, but (eigoMANGA) like to partner with artists world wide, giving exposure to tales and art never seen before."

eigoMANGA welcomes all styles and genres, but it does require that submissions be penciled, inked, at least three issues in production, and nothing racier than pg-17. Artists retain creative control and ownership over their works. Although international artists are usually thousands of miles away from eigoMANGA's San Francisco office, the company has an opened and solid relation with all of there creative partners. Writer of 'Bleed', Carlo Borromeo described his experience with eigoMANGA like this, "I've yet to meet anyone from eigoMANGA, because I'm in the Philippines. Vincent Ngo, the artist, and I made a short eight page story and e-mailed it as a submission to eigoMANGA. Austin Osueke e-mailed me that he wanted to publish it, and that was that. We are very excited that our work is eventually going to see print."

*Manga differs from American comics in two big ways - it is read by all age groups and it is usually more realistic - i.e. bunnies don't talk and they do not walk on two legs.
