December 23, 2003 (SEATTLE) WizKids LLC, makers of the best-selling Mage Knight™, MechWarrior® and HeroClix™ collectable miniatures games (CMGs), is proud to report that members of its volunteer program, called "envoys," donated over $60 thousand in WizKids products to the annual Toys for Tots toy drive for youngsters in December of 2003.
"This outpouring of generosity is phenomenal," said Jordan Weisman, WizKids CEO. "The strength of character our envoys showed this season outclassed our wildest estimations." WizKids envoys run demonstrations and tournaments in thousands of stores worldwide each month.
Earlier this year, WizKids gave envoys the option to donate points accrued from running WizKids-approved events. The points, in turn, were totaled and used in a donation to the Toys for Tots charity. The envoys responded in unprecedented numbers, and their donations resulted in over $60 thousand worth of WizKids games being donated to the charity. The donations included starter boxes and booster packs from the popular HeroClix™ game.
