JAKKS Pacific Inc. today announced that Len Mazzocco has joined the Company as a senior vice president of product development for the infant, pre-school, plush, and games division. Mazzocco joins JAKKS following a career in the toy industry that has spanned almost two decades. Starting as a product designer with Milton Bradley in 1982, Mazzocco moved to Fisher Price in 1985, where he held various positions, from senior designer of pre-school toys to director of new opportunities. Fisher Price was acquired by Mattel in 1994, and in 1995 Mazzocco joined the Mattel team as Vice President of Design for the newly formed Disney/Games Business Unit where he managed a team of approximately 120 design professionals responsible for developing more than 200 toy products annually. He rejoined Fisher Price in 1998 as Senior Vice President of Product Design where he has focused his efforts on bringing new technology and innovation to the 2000 Fisher Price product line. ``We are delighted that Len has joined JAKKS' management team,'' said Stephen Berman, president and chief operating officer of JAKKS Pacific. ``There are few people in the toy industry who can match the breadth of Len's experience in all phases of product design and development, from concept generation and product design to engineering and final production. His experience in the infant and pre-school sectors of the marketplace will be especially valuable as we continue to expand our offerings in those product categories.'' ``I am extremely pleased to be joining JAKKS. It is a company that is unsurpassed in its capacity for creativity and innovation in toy design,'' said Mazzocco. ``Drawing on my experience, I particularly look forward to leveraging the Company's considerable talent and resources in developing exciting new products for the growing Child Guidance line, which I expect will become an increasingly important contributor to JAKKS' continuing growth.'' JAKKS Pacific is a multi-brand toy company that designs, develops, produces and markets toys and related products, including: action figures and accessories featuring licensed characters, principally from the World Wrestling Federation; Flying Colors molded plastic activity sets, clay compound playsets and lunch boxes; Road Champs die-cast collectible and toy vehicles and Remco toy vehicles and role-play toys and accessories; Child Guidance infant and preschool electronic toys, toy foam puzzle mats and blocks, activity sets, and outdoor products; and fashion and mini dolls and related accessories.
