IN THE NEWS
Todd McFarlane appears at NBA All-Star Jam Session signing autographs on Thursday, Feb. 12, 4 to 6 PM
Todd McFarlane will be signing autographs at McFarlane's Sports Picks Booth (#6) during the NBA All-Star Jam Session at the Los Angeles Convention Center. He is scheduled to sign autographs on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Attendees must purchase a ticket to enter the venue. For more information, check out the Spawn.com story about the NBA All-Star Weekend.
McFarlane Toys has produced an exclusive two-pack for the NBA All-Star Jam Card Show to celebrate the hometown co-hosts. The exclusive NBA action figure two-pack features two of LA's hottest players: Los Angeles Lakers center Shaquille O'Neal and Los Angeles Clippers forward Elton Brand.
In addition to signing the NBA All-Star exclusive product, Todd may be able to sign other items depending on the length of the line.
NHL Series 8 toy photos revealed
Lineup changes, too, on upcoming hockey figures
As announced several months ago, the eighth series of McFarlane's Sports Picks: NHL action figures is another Canada-centric line. Similar to NHL 5, series 8 will be our second hockey line developed exclusively for mass retail in Canada. The demand for hockey product up North is strong enough to support a line released "out-of-season," and so our second "Canada-direct" line was created with specific appeal to the Canuck faithful.
Alien and Predator 2004 toy series announced
Refreshed line features new paint, accessories, etc.
Appears that 2004 is shaping up to be an Alien and Predator sort of year. Though these film franchises are dated (the original Alien film was released in 1979), they still have strong fan support, not to mention the big-budget Alien vs. Predator movie coming from 20th Century Fox this year.
McFarlane Toys thought we'd get in on the action. We're releasing a refreshed Alien and Predator line of four figures, based roughly on Movie Maniacs 6 from 2003, but thoroughly updated.
New Spawn Sims snowboards coming
Boards feature both comic and toy artwork
Generally speaking, snow doesn't last long in the fiery pits of Hell. Luckily, we're in good with the fine folks at Sims Snowboards and they've managed a workaround for this persistent problem. For the upcoming 2004 season, Sims Snowboards has unveiled - in conjunction with Todd McFarlane Entertainment - a new line of Spawn Snowboards.
Super Bowl event a success for McFarlane Toys
Todd holds signing; exclusive toys sell out on Saturday
For the second year running, McFarlane Toys and spawn.com invaded the NFL Experience, this year in Houston for Super Bowl XXXVIII. Following up last year's LaDainian Tomlinson and Junior Seau exclusive action figures in San Diego, the city of Houston received credit for their current and past football success with special figures of current Texans quarterback David Carr and former Oilers running back Eddie George.
