MegoCon2004: June 11 to 13

March 2004 - MegoCon2004, a convention devoted to Mego action figures, will be held on June 11 to 13 at the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City.

The three-day event will feature a dealer floor, a Mego Room (with every Mego figure on display), a custom contest, lectures and workshops, a meet & greet reception on Friday, a Key Note dinner on Saturday, and a breakfast on Sunday.

The lectures and workshops planned include restoration/preservation and customizing.

Dr. Mego will be one of the scheduled guests at the convention, and possible guests include Marty Abrams, John Bonavita, and Charlee Flatt.

What convention would be complete with a convention-exclusive action figure? MegoCon2004 will have an exclusive, although the figure itself has not yet been revealed.

The first 50 people who purchase a three-day ticket to the convention will receive a Mego WGSH guide, a Captain Action guide, and $20 of reproduction parts from Dr. Mego.

If you can't attend all three days of the show, one-day tickets will be available for Saturday. (One-day tickets will only be available at the show, although three-day tickets are available online.) For more details about tickets and registration, please visit the official site for the convention:
